Biography
Professor Guy Smagghe is expert in different aspects of entomology, and internationally recognized for his innovative research on and the training of people, from the North and South, in different aspects of insect/animal physiology, molecular biology and (eco)toxicology with insects important in agriculture, and also in topics of biodiversity, nature conservation and sustainability. He is a world’s leading expert on novel insecticide activities and RNAi technology to control important pest insects, but also on the health of beneficials insects and their economic-ecological service.
