Postdoctoral researchers
Biography
Lydia did her PhD at the University of British Columbia, studying sex chromosome evolution in guppies. Her research investigates the unique evolutionary pressures on Y chromosomes, including gene expression and the consequences of recombination suppression. Her current research focuses on how sex chromosome turnovers influence and shape recombination and dosage compensation in frogs. Outside the lab, Lydia enjoys jogging and knitting.
