Paris Veltsos

Paris Veltsos is interested in the interplay between sexual selection, environmental adaptation and sex chromosome evolution.  He has worked on evolutionary biology topics including chromosomal inversions, sex chromosome genomics, transcriptomics of sexual selection and hybrid zone cytogenetics. He has experience with a wide diversity of organisms including plants (Mercurialis annua, Silene latifolia, Mimulus guttatus) frogs (Rana temporaria), fruitflies (Drosophila Montana, Drosophila pseudoobscura), and a grasshopper (Podisma pedestris).
